Condom Maker Looking For Picasso Of Prophylactics

BOSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A condom company is looking for the next Rembrandt of rubbers.

The ONE Condoms brand of prophylactics made by Global Protection Corp. is launching a contest today (Feb. 14) searching for an artist or photographer who has a work of art that is suitable to put on the packaging of their condoms.

Stephen Mare, the company’s V.P. of marketing, says the contest “takes condoms out of the mundane and moves them into a vital part of life.”

Mare says the company has “little idea of what we’ll get,” but expects it to range from sexy to humorous.

The company definitely knows about humor already: It’s credited with making the first glow-in-the-dark condom.

The winning artist receives a year’s supply of condoms – that’s 365 condoms.
