EUGENE, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The ghost of Edgar Allan Poe has inspired a kooky college where no tuition or exams are required.

During a “routine seance,” paranormal researcher Peter Fenton came into contact with the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe, who urged him to open an online school for all things weird.

Thus, Edgar Allan Poe Community College was born on Facebook, a gathering place for people with strange and unusual interests.

Fenton says anyone can enroll, and getting in is a cinch. Once you’re a fan on Facebook, you’re a student.

So far there are about 20 people on the virtual campus, from a former construction worker trying to become a crystal ball reader to moms interested in using ESP to track down their kids.

Fenton considers it a “paranormal trade school” where blue-collar workers much like Poe can get a fresh start.

EAPCC’s faculty includes a werewolf expert and a psychiatrist to dead Hollywood stars.
