NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Don’t drink the water – it may be fake.Till Krautkraemer runs MeatWater, a popular line of meal supplement drinks in quirky flavors like cheeseburger, chicken wings, liverwurst sandwich, and peking duck.
Recently, unknown thieves in Australia started selling counterfeit versions of his wacky water.
The bottles boast MeatWater labels but have discrepancies in the barcode and expiration date.
The color of the water also doesn’t match the label. For example, the fake BBQ Wings flavor is pink, when the real version is a more brownish hue.
Krautkraemer is baffled by the fraud but believes it could be an inside job since he has a few shady rivals in the water world.
However, the knock-offs will never be able to nail the authentic taste.
Krautkraemer spends months developing each quirky flavor and is currently expanding his fish line with offerings like poached salmon, fish taco, and sushi water.
