Former Figure Skater Addicted To Sequins

ASHLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – After all these years, former U.S. figure skater Tai Babilonia is still a sucker for sequins.The renowned Olympian, who skated to fame in the ’70s and later battled alcoholism, now has her own dazzling sportswear line.
Babilonia admits she’s been “addicted” to sequins since her days of flashy skating costumes and just can’t quit the sparkly stuff.
She says, “I don’t do drugs anymore, so rhinestones are my drug. You can never have enough of them!”
Babilonia keeps rhinestones “in the millions” at home and often finds herself bedazzling anything and everything, from sweaters to lamps and furniture.
She says it’s amazing how a few gems can dress up an outfit and make a person stand out.
Rhinestones are a skater’s secret weapon because when the light hits their clothes, everyone looks.
Babilonia hopes to add more sequins to her “Tai Collection” skirts, though she won’t be hitting the ice in them any time soon.
