The 90210 actress hosts Garden Party on iVillage.com, a digital series where she teaches families fun ways to incorporate vegetables into their diets.
Though her three daughters are pretty good about eating their greens, Garth admits asparagus is highly dreaded in their household.
She can never get her girls to eat the stalks, so she opts for cooking more kid-friendly veggies like carrots and broccoli.
Her go-to tricks are to dip the vegetables in ranch or cover them in cheese so they look more appealing or make them into funny faces.
Garth recommends parents plant a garden with their kids so theyre more connected to what theyre eating.
Her Italian father-in-law who can grow tomatoes on a gutter vine did this with her kids and ever since then, theyve been more inclined to try new greens.
