Kris Kristofferson Thanks Lucky Boots

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Kris Kristofferson’s boots weren’t just made for walking – they may have single-handedly launched his career in the 1960s.

The legendary actor and singer, who recently released his 25th album, Closer To The Bone, believes his career is still going strong after all these years thanks to a lucky pair of cowboy boots he got back in 1969.

The boots seemingly opened many doors for the crooner.

He explains, “Once I got them on my feet, things fell into place. I’m a superstitious person, so I make sure not to ever disrespect the boots.”

Kristofferson admits he’ll probably wear the boots to his grave.

The kicks even helped get him into character for his latest flick, Provinces Of Night, which hits theaters in 2010.

He says, “I play an old singer/songwriter who comes home after years of being gone. It wasn’t much of a stretch!”
