So says Paul Scime, author of The Frugal Factor: Better Living Through Rebates, Discounts, And Deals (Prime Technology Corporation).
Over the years hes become an expert in frugal shopping, saving thousands and getting many top-notch items for free.
Scime says coupons are like a secret code. The more you read them and combine offers, the more you save.
He recently managed to buy a $1,400 TV for just $700 after combining discounts, and can even make money off purchases.
He actually made $21 off a printer and once bought a bunch $50 TiVos from Radio Shack that were free after a $50 rebate.
He then sold them on eBay for $118 a pop and the profits funded a vacation cruise for his entire family.
Scime browses for coupons daily and instead of a bulky wallet, carries a three-ring binder filled with clippings wherever he goes.
