Thanksgiving Dinner: The Liquid Version

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) dinner doesn’t have to be eaten – it can be sipped.

Instead of chomping down on turkey and stuffing, one can opt for the liquid version of Thanksgiving dishes.

For example, a “Pumpkin Pie” cocktail combines Kahlua, Malibu Rum, milk, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie filling.

A “Cherry Gobbler,” blends Wild Turkey bourbon with citrus soda and a splash of grenadine.

A “Green Beam Casserole” mixes Jim Beam, soda water, and a twist of lime over ice.

For the main course, try a “Royal Turkey” – whisky, sloe gin, and apricot brandy with apple juice – or a “Turkey Trot,” a combination of cranberry juice, 7-Up, and Wild Turkey.

Sure to put feathers on anyone’s chest is a shooter called the “Turkey Feather,” which is two parts Wild Turkey, one part Drambuie, and a little Amaretto.

Finally, if hard liquor isn’t your taste, try “Pilgrim’s Punch” – a shot of raspberry- flavored beer dumped into 20 ounces of Guinness.
