According to Larry Rice, owner of foamhands.com, the sporting event staple is still No. 1 among fans, especially during football season.
Rice attributes the steady sales to foam fingers being an affordable alternative to pricey banners or jerseys at football games.
Its a festive, highly-visible way to cheer on a team and since its soft, it cant hurt anyone.
This is particularly good since football fans tend to be a few beers deep while rooting at games.
Rice says the classic pointer finger is still the most popular foam for fans, though some branch out with models like a foam thumbs up, five-finger mitt, or plush paw, depending on their team.
Foam fingers even come in handy as party favors.
Rice once made a bunch of them for Tiger Woods birthday bash.
