Thats what contractor and host Josh Temple learned while filming his show, Disaster House, premiering Tuesday (Oct. 6) on DIY Network.
He and a crew purposely wreck a house to demonstrate the punishment a normal home takes over time and what repairs people can and cant do themselves.
Temple was a kid in a candy store destroying the poor little house for the show.
They drove a car through it, dropped a piano on the roof, lit the backyard with a flamethrower, flooded the basement and went scuba diving in it, and had an actual elephant poop in the bathroom.
The elephant crap clogged the toilet so bad, a plumber had to fix it because a plunger and snake werent doing much.
Though damaging the house was fun, Temple was sad when the ol girl was finally demolished. He took home a few souvenir tiles to remember her by.
