Vacuum In A Tuxedo

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s the regular way to do things, and then there’s the playful way.

Just ask Sam Barry, author of Play The Harmonica: And Other Life Lessons (Gibbs Smith), who says joy can be found in any task.

For example, instead of vacuuming the regular way, he prefers doing it in a tuxedo and dancing with the vacuum cleaner like he’s Fred Astaire.

As for laundry, the “playful way” includes dressing up in costume and shooting the clothes like basketballs into the machines.

But the best thing one can do to add happiness to their life is play the harmonica.

Barry says it’s the “ultimate playful instrument” and it’s impossible to be upset with a mouthful of harmonica.

He notes that you can’t yell at your kids or dog while playing it, and it forces you to “take a breath and relax.”

He’s been playing harmonica since he was a kid and feels “exhilarated” after a jam session, without a care in the world.
