Labor Day (Sep. 7) Soundtrack

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Today (Sep. 7), a few ditties will remind you of all that hard labor you’ve been putting in at work.

For example, Bob Marley’s “Work” counts down the days in the work week with the lyrics: Every day is work, work, work, work!

“Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival dreams about ditching the daily grind for a life on the river with the opening line: Left a good job in the city/ Working for the man every night and day.

Bruce Springsteen’s “Working On The Highway” reflects the woes of blue-collar workers with the line: Working on the highway laying down the blacktop/ Working on the highway all day long I don’t stop.

The Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night” seconds that with: It’s been a hard day’s night/ And I’ve been working like a dog.

Finally, Pink Floyd’s “Money” reminds us all why we work in the first place.
