Joan Cusack’s College Days A Breeze

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For most kids, getting into college is stressful, but that wasn’t the case for Joan Cusack.

The Oscar-nominated actress plays a pushy mom in Acceptance, a movie about the pressures of college admissions premiering this Saturday (Aug. 22) on Lifetime.

Cusack admits that her college acceptance experience wasn’t nearly as overwhelming as what kids go through today.

In fact, she only vaguely recalls rushing to check the mail or stressing over acceptance essays when applying to her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

That’s because her dad, actor Dick Cusack, made college sound “so fun,” she went because she wanted to, not because she had to.

On the advice of Dad, Cusack attended college to become more “worldly and well-rounded,” even though she’d already broken into showbiz.

When it’s time for her own kids to start thinking about college, Cusack thinks she’ll be laid back and let them pick their own paths.
