World’s Longest Yardsale Hotspot For Hagglers

JAMESTOWN, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – At the World’s Longest Yardsale, buyers hold all the power.

The 22nd annual sale, which spans 654 miles, is this Thursday (Aug. 6) through Sunday (Aug. 9) along the US 127 Corridor through Tennessee, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky.

According to organizer Walter Paige, bargain hunters will have more room than ever to haggle this year due to the poor economy.

Folks visiting yardsales along the route will show up with a “buyer’s attitude,” bringing down sellers as much as possible.

Sellers will likely entertain offers, since Paige says they’re eager to “make that sale” and supplement their household incomes.

As a result, vendors are rolling out their best items to lure customers this year, stuff they may have never imagined selling before.

Paige says bargain hunters can expect everything from jukeboxes and pinball machines to cars and boats for sale.

He’s even heard of vendors selling puppies and goats along the route at a steal.
