Ned Bruha is known throughout Oklahoma as the Skunk Whisperer, rescuing animals from attics, soda machines, baby cribs, and anywhere else they get themselves into.
Bruha credits his father for turning him into a top-notch critter catcher at age seven when he made little Ned handle some chipmunks burrowing in their backyard, which was covered with WWII graves.
He says, Ive been after critters ever since.
Bruha searches for humane solutions to animal control and says talking to the furry guys like children is his secret weapon because, If you dont talk to them like a child, youre gonna get sprayed. It calms them.
Even then, Bruha has seen the wrath of many animals, and has been bitten by a bat, a squirrel who left one of its teeth in his finger and a possum, whose bite was like the jaws of death.
