Regular Homes Boast Secret Passageways

GILBERT, Ariz. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A house is not a home until it has a secret passageway.

Creative Home Engineering out of Gilbert, Arizona, turns people’s homes into kooky funhouses by building hidden passageways in them.

Company owner Steve Humble has built everything from revolving fireplaces, hidden stairwells, and secret slides that take people from one level of their house to another.

With his designs, pulling a book off a shelf, arranging a chess board in a certain way, or spraying a can of Lysol can open a hidden door to an underground lair.

Humble says many folks have secret compartments built in their homes to hide valuables or to use as a panic room should any intruders break in.

For the most part, however, most want to build a secret passageway simply because it’s a unique way to get around the house.

Humble adds, “A lot of people just want a fun way to get to their office.”
