Dad’s Weird Sayings Honored

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dad has a lot of weird, wise words to pass down, and now they can be commemorated.

SaveASaying.com is a website where people can register the sayings often uttered by their loved ones.

Buyers receive a framed certificate of authenticity that states a certain saying is personal to someone, and founder Dr. Don Powell assures that saving a saying is the most unique way to let Dad know you care on Father’s Day (Jun. 21).

Dr. Powell says some kids have registered their papa’s wacky words.

One man registered his dad’s favorite phrase, “Good hookamadoo!” which he’d say when he was excited.

Other funny sayings registered have included “You can’t cure dumb” and “I love you, and I love your hair.”

By giving Dad back the words he gave you growing up, Dr. Powell says his personality is captured.

He says that the weirder or more inappropriate the saying, the better and more personal the gift becomes.
