Rock ’N’ Roll Fuels Gas Station

PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rock ’n’ roll is the fuel that keeps one unique gas station pumping.

A gas station in Philly has been dubbed the Rock N’ Roll Exxon, mainly because owner Barry Appelbaum has turned it into a music mecca where bands like The Roots have put on shows for fans.

Appelbaum’s motto is “music is our oil,” and he wants everyone to know that his Exxon is an experience every music lover can rock to.

He’s decked out the gas station to include massive music murals like one depicting a Supernova explosion with Mick Jagger and Jerry Garcia in the mix.

He prides himself on having a unique quickie stop that’s not “just an old dinosaur, like any corner store.”

And it’s not just rock and gasoline the Exxon offers.

They also boast Philly’s best cheesesteak sandwiches, so patrons can fill up their other gas tank.
