George Lopez Inspired By Arsenio Hall

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For his latest project, funnyman George Lopez is looking to ’90s TV host Arsenio Hall for inspiration.

This November, Lopez will get his own late night talk show on TBS, and the Latino comic wants it to be “edgy and inclusive,” just like the Emmy-winning Arsenio Hall Show.

Lopez appeared 16 times on The Arsenio Hall Show between 1989 and 1994 and says the audience’s energy was amazing, something he hopes to create with his own show.

Lopez believes every race will relate to his talk show and adds, “TV shouldn’t just be black and white.”

He plans on filming the show outside, in a “street-party atmosphere,” where he’ll bond with the crowd and even let them ask his celebrity guests questions.

To go with the lax vibe, Lopez refuses to sit behind a stuffy desk and read off cue cards, and adds, “I want some sht to happen on my show that’s not on a card. I want to add color to late night.”
