Daniel Baldwin Starts Poker Career At Age Nine

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Daniel Baldwin is a serious poker shark – he knew how to ante up by the time he was just nine years old.

Baldwin, of the infamous Baldwin Brothers acting clan, learned the ins and outs of poker when he was a kid from “thuggy street gangs” in his New York neighborhood.

At age nine, Baldwin would gather around street poker players and watch them whip out some of the best hands he’s ever seen.

While they would play, he’d be the “gopher” for the older, tougher kids who’d give him money to go get them beer.

Since his childhood poker days, Baldwin has become a celebrity player and this Saturday (Jan. 17), he’s throwing in his chips to raise $4.8 million for a new children’s center for the Therapeutic Living Centers For The Blind.

Baldwin will be playing Texas Hold ’Em against celebs like Brad Garrett, Chris McDonald, and Judd Nelson and bluffs, “When I play, I only play to win!”

He’ll be looking at his opponents’ playing patterns, body language, and eyes – usually telling poker tells.
