Even Martha Stewart Could Use Turkey Advice

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Cooking a Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) turkey can be tough, even for Martha Stewart.

The Butterball Turkey Talkline is a 24-hour hotline that dishes out bird broiling advice to confused and stressed out cooks every Thanksgiving season.

Hotline operator Sue Clayton-Smith says anyone can benefit from a few helpful tips when they’re roasting their turkey, even the domestic diva herself, Martha Stewart.

She says, “We get so many different callers from so many different parts of the country, I wouldn’t be surprised if Martha called us for help one day. Even the most seasoned cooks run into problems in the kitchen.”

Clayton-Smith says she’s handled all sorts of crazy calls, and once even had to help her own dad over the phone.

She laughs, “My dad called in and happened to get me as his operator. He had stuffing questions. I was like, ‘Come on, dad, You know this. I’ve told you before.’”
