Frank Stallone Has Knockout Boxing Collection

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor and musician Frank Stallone has a boxing memorabilia collection that’s a real knockout.

Stallone has been an avid fan of boxing for decades and owns a hefty collection of ring-related mementos.

His latest addition is a pair of rare boxing gloves worn by lightweight legend Ad Wolgast during a championship match in 1910.

Stallone says the gloves went 40 rounds in the notorious, brutal battle and remind him of the Boxing Hall of Famer’s legacy, since Wolgast is often forgotten.

Although Wolgast was one of the richest boxers of his time, he died penniless and alone in a mental sanitarium after his fame faded.

Stallone has followed Wolgast’s story and feels sorry for him, so he visits the boxer’s grave every year.

He speculates, “Maybe one day, Wolgast will come back as a ghost!”

Stallone recently tried his hand at professional wrestling on CMT’s show Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Wrestling, but will always like boxing better.

He explains, “Boxing is really beautiful to watch. There aren’t as many gimmicks.”
