Thats because thousands of goth kids are overrunning Disneyland for Bats Day, a convention for the dark, alternative subculture, this Sunday (Nov. 9).
Creator Noah Korda says that despite their harsh, black-clad exterior, goths, rockabillies, death metal fans, and other scary- looking folks are really happy kids at heart.
He says, Theres definitely that misconception. Were really just like-minded people with a love for Disney.
Though he admits the idea of goths riding Its A Small World is an oxymoron, Korda says the scary attendees dont necessarily go straight for the spookier rides like the Haunted Mansion.
In fact, many prefer the cutesy, kiddie rides, like the Teacups and the flying Dumbo.
To commemorate the event, the freaky Disney fans will congregate in front of Sleeping Beautys Castle for a picture, which Korda says gets a lot of stares, and a few negative comments from creeped out parents.
