Goth Kids Invade Disneyland

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – “The Happiest Place on Earth” is becoming the darkest place on Earth.

That’s because thousands of goth kids are overrunning Disneyland for Bats Day, a convention for the “dark, alternative subculture,” this Sunday (Nov. 9).

Creator Noah Korda says that despite their harsh, black-clad exterior, goths, rockabillies, death metal fans, and other scary- looking folks are really happy kids at heart.

He says, “There’s definitely that misconception. We’re really just like-minded people with a love for Disney.”

Though he admits the idea of goths riding It’s A Small World is an “oxymoron,” Korda says the scary attendees don’t necessarily go straight for the spookier rides like the Haunted Mansion.

In fact, many prefer the cutesy, kiddie rides, like the Teacups and the flying Dumbo.

To commemorate the event, the freaky Disney fans will congregate in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle for a picture, which Korda says gets a lot of stares, and a few negative comments from creeped out parents.
