Activist Fights Against Daylight-Saving Time Change

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – We may get an extra hour of sleep this Sunday (Nov. 2) when time falls back an hour, but the time change is a sham.

Sheila Danzig is an activist who’s against daylight- saving time changes because they’re “confusing and serve no purpose.”

She’s started a petition against the spring and fall time changes on her website, standardtime.org, and urges people to write to their congressperson so we never have to change another clock again.

Danzig’s dream is to do away with daylight-saving time all together, and get rid of the twice-a-year time changes.

She says the time changes are harmful because they throw people’s rhythms off, cause people to miss appointments, alter their daily schedules, and cause more accidents on the road due unexpected darkness.

What’s worse is that there’s “no point” to the time changes, but in Danzig’s words, “Congress won’t admit it’s a stupid rule.”

Danzig believes that in reality, “there’s no such thing as time” anyway.
