Musician Records Depressing Album

CRESTONE, Colo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One musician has used his inner turmoil to create the most depressing album ever.

Singer-songwriter Jake La Botz took a year of hardship and let it all out on his album, Sing This to Yourself and Other Suggestions for a Personal Apocalypse, and he doesn’t mind that it’ll bum people out.

He says, “I don’t think anyone has ever made the claim of having the most depressing album ever. I thought maybe it would attract people that really like being depressed.”

Some of the downer ditties on the album include “The World Ended Yesterday,” “Depression Brings Me Flowers,” and “Put Me in a Hole.”

La Botz says he did most of the songwriting while, “locked in my own personal hell,” but now that he has the sadness out of his system, things are looking brighter.

He explains, “Right now I’m pretty cheerful. Who knows? I might make the world’s happiest album next. People can use both albums as bookends in their CD collection.”

Sing This to Yourself drops this Saturday (Aug. 2).
