Actress Amy Jo Johnson rose to stardom in the early 1990s playing the Pink Power Ranger on the cult kiddie show, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Now she plays a sniper in the new CBS series Flashpoint, and says donning the Power Ranger body suit earlier in her career helped her get into character for the new action gig.
She explains, I didnt expect to start my career as a superhero, but action seems to work well for me. The snipers on this show are strong people just like the Power Rangers!
The show couldnt have come at a better time for Johnson since shes pregnant and expecting a little superhero of her own in a few months.
She says, I had a bit of a rough start on the show because it was so intense, and I was in my first trimester. But I finally got the rhythm of it. Im feeling great now!
Flashpoint premieres July 11 on CBS.
