Man Takes His Love For Judy Garland On The Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One collector’s love for Judy Garland has gotten out of control.

Michael Siewert is sharing his love for Judy Garland with the world with his traveling museum dedicated to the legendary star.

He says, “I’ve been collecting since I was six years old. As I grew up, the collection got more expensive and out of control.”

Siewert has millions of items in his collection, including gowns worn by Garland in classic films like Meet Me in St. Louis and A Star is Born, and estimates he’s spent more than $1 million dollars.

Siewert says fans of his collection aren’t only gay men and old ladies, but also teenage boys who cry when they see her costumes.

No matter how obsessed he becomes, there’s one thing Siewart won’t do.

He jokes, “I won’t even try to put on one of her dresses. She was four-feet, 11-inches tall. Even if I wanted to wear one of her dresses, it wouldn’t fit.”

Siewert takes his collection to Grand Rapids, Minnesota, June 26-28 for the Judy Garland Festival.
