Michael Siewert is sharing his love for Judy Garland with the world with his traveling museum dedicated to the legendary star.
He says, Ive been collecting since I was six years old. As I grew up, the collection got more expensive and out of control.
Siewert has millions of items in his collection, including gowns worn by Garland in classic films like Meet Me in St. Louis and A Star is Born, and estimates hes spent more than $1 million dollars.
Siewert says fans of his collection arent only gay men and old ladies, but also teenage boys who cry when they see her costumes.
No matter how obsessed he becomes, theres one thing Siewart wont do.
He jokes, I wont even try to put on one of her dresses. She was four-feet, 11-inches tall. Even if I wanted to wear one of her dresses, it wouldnt fit.
Siewert takes his collection to Grand Rapids, Minnesota, June 26-28 for the Judy Garland Festival.
