Air Guitar Is All About The Drama

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The best guitarists are full of hot air.

Beginning today (Jun. 3) at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, and ending August 8 in San Francisco, U.S. Air Guitar is searching for its next air-shredding star to represent the U.S. in the World Air Guitar Championships in Finland this August.

But faking your way to fame takes more than a rockin’ AC/DC or Van Halen song.

He says, “You have to think of your 60-second performance as a play, with a strong beginning, middle, and end. It’s not just a crazy spectacle – you need to be dramatic.”

Rucker urges contestants to get crazy with their song choice.

He says, “Surprising people is good. I saw an amazing, schizophrenic performance of “Dueling Banjos.” The whole point is to melt faces and blow minds.”
