‘Tool’ Man Finds Inspiration In Wine And Women

CORNVILLE, Ariz. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Revered rocker Maynard James Keenan is opening up about his two of his top inspirations.

On April 29, Keenan’s new band, experimental rockers Puscifer, will release V is for Viagra: The Vagina Remixes, a remixed version of their 2007 album V is for Vagina.

Keenan – best known as the irreverent, reclusive frontman for celebrated rockers Tool – dishes on the album’s tantalizing title, saying “Puscifer is all about creative energy, and nothing embodies that more than the vagina. It’s the chalice of creativity, it always has been.”

Another place that feeds Keenan’s creativity is the vineyard and winery he owns and operates in Cornville, Arizona.

Though he still does most of his recording in Los Angeles, winemaking is a logical creative extension of Keenan’s music making, even if it’s a little more laid back than his main gig.

He says, “I get inspiration from the long, slow, subtle rhythms of the landscape.”
