‘Idol’s’ Chikezie Learns To Work The Stage

INGLEWOOD , Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – American Idol eliminee Chikezie may be a concert virgin, but he still knows how to work a stage.

Chikezie – who was eliminated from Idol this past Wednesday (Mar. 26) – has never been to a concert in his life, but enjoyed putting on his own mini concert for America each week on TV.

He says rockin’ the Idol stage felt “incredible,” and he didn’t necessarily think about what moves he’d use to woo the crowd.

Says Chikezie: “When you’re performing, you just do what you feel is right in the moment.”

One of his favorite parts of the Idol stage was the mosh pit, which is usually filled with screaming, adoring girls who hold their hands out hoping to be touched by the singers.

Chikezie laughs, “The mosh pit is really exciting. I’ve never heard people scream so loud. I didn’t know little girls could throw their voices around like that! It’s surprising everytime, because you’re like, ‘What are they doing?’ It’s very funny.”

American Idol airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays on FOX.
