Supreme Court of Comedy features real people settling their small claims squabbles in front of comedians like Sinbad, Tom Arnold, and Jamie Kennedy instead of lawyers.
The shows judge, stand-up legend Dom Irrera, says his role has been a long time in the making.
Irrera says, Ive always been told Im judgmental. I figured I might as well make a living out of it.
Irrera admits that to keep his lawyer lingo accurate and fresh, he watches TV court shows like Judge Judy, Peoples Court and Judge Joe Brown, but the comedian has no plans to take his act to a real courtroom.
He says, Im a comedian first. Id never want to be a lawyer I want to get laughs and get people pissed off, not just get people pissed off.
Supreme Court of Comedy airs Mondays on DIRECTV Channel The 101.
