‘Juno’ Is A Sunny Oscar Viewing Party Theme

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re looking for a sunny way to celebrate the 80th Annual Academy Awards this Sunday (Feb. 24), try hosting a Juno-themed Oscar viewing party.

Harry Medved, editorial director for the leading moviegoer destination Fandango, says Juno is a fun, easy, and “sunnier” theme for an Oscar viewing party than other super serious dramas like Michael Clayton or Atonement.

In accordance with the film’s pregnancy plot, your party’s theme can be a “Teenage-hipster baby shower,” with plenty of tunes by bands like Mott the Hoople, The Runaways, and The Moldy Peaches.

In honor of the characters in Juno, you can have your girl guests wear casual, pregnant stretch clothing, while the guys sport skimpy running shorts and headbands so they’ll look, as Juno would say, “Totally boss.”

As far as drinks go, your “expecting” guests shouldn’t booze it up, but Medved says they can all “chillax” and get their Vitamin C on with jugs of Sunny Delight.

And for activities, have a Juno jargon contest where guests rattle off the most quotable lines from the film in hopes of winning a brand new hamburger phone.
