Today (Feb. 12) in New York Citys Times Square, Subway sandwiches spokesperson Jared Fogle is hanging up his size 60 jeans that have been a staple ingredient in his weight-loss commercials for the past 10 years.
And while hes slimmed down to a much smaller size, Fogles tremendous trousers are still getting a world-class workout.
He says, These fat pants have been to every state and city in the U.S. and theyve gone international. I always put them in my carry-on bag. I can replace my regular clothes, but not these.
Fogle says the pants always cause a commotion when he busts them out during a presentation, with everyone from young kids to news anchors eager to size themselves up.
But Fogle stays out of his own denim, admitting, There are too many bad memories there.
After their retirement, Fogles unsure where his fat pants will go, but hes pleased with one possible resting place.
Fogle says, Its pretty crazy that my pants may be hanging in a museum somewhere.
