Tennessee Grandma Thinks Martha Stewart Is Fat

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One Southern grandma doesn’t just think Martha Stewart’s cooking is overrated, she also thinks the homemaking queen is fat.

Jackie Miller is the author of Real Food For Real People (Miller), and says Stewart’s fancy cooking doesn’t necessarily taste good, and really can’t be cooked by someone who’s trying to make a simple meal.

Miller asks, “How many young married people do you know that cook marinated duck? Martha needs to stop using ingredients that no one has in their pantries and just stick to the basics that her mom used to make.”

The cranky cook teaches how to make basic table toppers like tamales, fried corn, pinto beans, and fruit pizza in her cook book, and says just because you’re eating good home cooking doesn’t mean you’re going to be the size of a house.

Miller says, “You can eat what you want, just in moderation. Not all Southerners are 300 pounds, but look at Martha! She’s cooking with lean foods, and she’s looking a little thick in the waist. She needs to start watching herself.”
