Don’t Stress About Your New Year’s Smooch

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This New Year’s Eve, keep your cool and don’t stress about the stroke-of-midnight smooch.

Andrea Demirjian is the author of Kissing: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About One of Life’s Sweetest Pleasures (Penguin), and she says when the ball drops this New Year’s Eve, you shouldn’t put too much stress on the celebratory smooch.

She says, “If you’re with friends, you’ll definitely be kissing someone. It might not be a romantic kiss, but it’s still a wonderful thing. It doesn’t make New Year’s any less special.”

Demirjian says that while “Holiday season is like a 007 license to kiss,” it’s important to stay cool when leaning in for a smooch with a stranger.

She says, “Be polite. You don’t need to go in with the tongue right away.”

And if you’re lucky enough to lock lips with a lover, Demirjian has some rules to keep things from getting too raunchy.

She says, “Less is more. You don’t want people to yell, ‘Get a room!’ Save your super sexy kissing for your private after party.”
