On January 1, Cordova, Illinois, celebrates Hangoverfest, a town-wide party where drag race fans get together to collectively toast their horrible hangovers by racing their own cars around a snow-covered closed course.
According to festival official Tazz, Its the perfect way to work out your cabin fever.
And even though drivers are hungover, Tazz says theres never been an accident at Hangoverfest, mostly because speeds arent as fast as they would be on a dry race track, and all of the cars are driven by everyday drivers, as opposed to speed demons.
And with complimentary Aspirin at the door and Bloody Marys for sale at the cafe, spectators can enjoy themselves and nurse their hangovers properly.
