See Some Legendary Landmarks This Christmas

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This Christmas, instead of watching A Christmas Story, go to the actual street where the Christmas classic was filmed.

Hampton Hotels Hidden Landmarks website is offering festive destinations to help you get out and break the merry mold, including West 11th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, where scenes from A Christmas Story were shot.

Other great getaways include ...

  • The World’s Largest Christmas Display in Denver, Colorado, which sets the City and County buildings shining with more than 40,000 lights.

  • Operation Santa Claus, in Redmond, Oregon, which is a working reindeer park and home to more than 70 real-life Rudolphs.

  • The Swim/Gym at Beverly Hills High, in Beverly Hills, California, where the famous dance floor disaster scene from It’s a Wonderful Life was shot.

But it’s not all sweet Santa escapes.

If you’re looking for some Jewish jaunts, there’s the World’s Largest Menorah, in New York City, which stands 32 feet tall and features genuine oil lamps and a glass chimney.
