Chicago-based dating company Nerds@heart helps the socially awkard who havent had much luck meeting potential mates at clubs and bars find love in more comfortable, nerd-safe settings.
The dating site hooks nerds up and arranges dates for them at places like comic conventions, museums, and Broadway shows, and even sets up meetings where daters can geek out on Scrabble and other board games.
Founder Bathsheba Birman claims the geeky gatherings are a big hit, mostly because its becoming hot to be a nerd.
She argues, Nerds have been picked on their whole lives. Nows the perfect chance for them to be sexified!
Still, Birman believes her clients arent even that nerdy, but rather people who could clean up and pass in public, but want something more than just the superficial.
