Susie Essman Learns The Tricks Of Many Trades

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to acting, comedian Susie Essman has learned the tricks of the trade, but now she’s learning tricks to a few other difficult professions.

Essman – who plays the venomous Susie Greene on the HBO hit series, Curb Your Enthusiasm – is host of the new Bravo reality series, Better Half, which explores the tough jobs of people like fitness trainers, photographers, and chefs, and Essman has learned a lot about the stresses of certain vocations.

Essman says the career she was most surprised to learn about was that of chefs, who “make food incredibly beautiful.”

She adds, “I can’t believe how stressful and detail- oriented being a chef is. It still baffles me how they get everything prepared at the perfect time, from green beans to chicken. It’s crazy!”

But in Essman’s eyes the most difficult, nerve-racking job isn’t in the kitchen, it’s in the salon.

Essman explains, “I think being a hairdresser is the hardest job, with the most pressure involved. If you screw up someone’s hair, you can really traumatize someone. I don’t know a single woman who hasn’t cried at least once after a haircut – it’s a tough job!”

Better Half airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
