This Sunday (Oct. 14) marks the first Baby Club Congress party, a nightclub event at the Hotel Congress specifically for tiny tots and their parents, with kid-friendly features like a fashion show, a Battle of the Baby Bands, and of course, a disco dancing contest.
Event organizer Rebecca Hanley says all the kiddy catering creates a perfect playdate, and not just for boppin babies.
Hanley says, Parents love the idea because its different than the library or the park. Its something to make them feel human again.
And while the kids are kickin it on the dance floor, parents can take the edge off with kid-themed cocktails like The Epidural, The Runaway Stroller, and the Postpartem.
The baby bash idea came from a similar shindig in Boston, but its Hanleys own eccentric additions that she hopes will get children cheering.
She says, Im hanging a 30-foot parachute from the ceiling. People think Im out there, but I envision it all in my head!
Baby Club Congress boogies every other Sunday. For more info, check out hotelcongress.com.
