‘Law & Order’ Actors Help Long Arm Of The Law

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The powerful police partners on Law & Order: Criminal Intent are putting an end to some dirty, down under danger.

Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe play no- nonsense detectives on the classic cop drama, and according to the partners against crime, their on-screen characters do more than entertain.

According to D’Onofrio, immigration officers are huge fans of the show, and have even used his character’s craftiness to make successful seizures of suspects – a procedure called “hits.”

D’Onofrio says, “I had one guy in Australia grab me and say he got hundreds of hits because of watching our show.”

And while they’ve definitely earned their cop cred, the actors admit that although they’ve met many fans in the force, the real-life cops aren’t bending any rules for them.

D’Onofrio says, “They do what they can do, but I’m not going to be the actor that says cops do us favors!”

But Erbe adds, “I get help with my passport!”

Law & Order: Criminal Intent airs tomorrow (Oct. 4) on USA.
