A Little Blood Won’t Stop ‘Journeyman’ Star

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The star of the upcoming sci- fi drama Journeyman has a very particular perspective when it comes to hard work on set.

Kevin McKidd plays newspaper reporter Dan Vasser on Journeyman, but it’s his role on HBO drama Rome that’s strengthened him up for the new show’s serious schedule.

McKidd had to film a scene where his character has a bloody nose, and explains, “They said, ‘Okay, we’re going to put a little drop of blood on your nose,’ and I said, ‘Listen, I’ve been drenched in blood for the last three years.”’

But there is one advantage to the gore of his gladiator gig.

McKidd says, “Filming Rome is very luxurious,” while the fast pace and long hours of Journeyman is “more like guerilla filmmaking.”

But it’s Journeyman producer, Kevin Falls, who’s really to blame for McKidd’s brutal – but bloodless – schedule.

Falls says, “We’re killing him, he works so hard. We have to lighten up so he can see his wife and kids one of these days.”

Journeyman premieres Monday (Sept. 24) on NBC.
