Rap Song Targets Top Talking Heads

DURHAM, N.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The latest sermon from one rapping minister in Durham, North Carolina, is doing some serious societal sparring.

Paul Scott is part of the music group Hip Hop Strikes Back, and in their new song, “Drums of War,” Scott is preaching a powerful message to righteous right wing ringleaders like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly, with lyrics like: I watch the news, I’m confused, got me feeling silly / It’s how absurd, the absurd from Bill O’Really.

Scott says, “Since the Don Imus thing, the talking heads are really dissing hip-hop. It’s time for us to dis back. They talk about hip-hop, but they have no understanding of it, and they’re disrespecting a whole culture. Bill O’Reilly is the worst. He goes off on tirades and makes exaggerated and unfounded attacks.”

The song, which can be downloaded for free at, is entering the rap ring to not only combat the conservatives, but to also offer music fans an awakening alternative.

Scott says, “Everyone is waiting for Kanye West and 50 Cent’s albums, but we’re giving people a third option – music with a message.”
