Charo Is A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Flamenco

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Sassy Spanish sensation Charo is known for her Flamenco music skills, but she’s getting ready to channel her inner cowgirl.

Charo is taking her flamboyant Flamenco act to the Moon River Theater in Branson, Missouri, September 7 through October 27, and performing alongside “Moon River” crooner, Andy Williams.

But while Branson, Missouri, audiences may be different than the crowds Charo is used to entertaining, she’s excited to tackle the country music loving city.

Says Charo: “Branson is a great place for trees, mountains, squirrels, kitty-kitties, and golf, but it’s also a place for great music. The people love country music, but they’ve also learned to love my flamenco. I feel comfortable there, even if my country western accent isn’t good!”

And Charo feels even more at home with her country audiences when she sees how stylish they dress to attend her shows.

She explains, “To come to the theater, Branson people dress very elegant and sophisticated, and it feels like an old Las Vegas showroom. Everything is so first class, it makes me want to dress nicely too and perform with great passion.”
