Even Soap Stars Lose Their Cool

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Young And The Restless star, Eric Braeden knows how to keep it cool on the silver screen, but the thought of one day working with a certain leading lady is enough to make the soap star sweat.

Braeden – who has played the love-to-hate villain, Victor Newman, on The Young And The Restless since 1980 – is receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame this Friday (July 20), and hopes his acting skills one day lead him to work alongside Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep.

Although the German-born Braeden has worked with some of Tinseltown’s greatest talents like Marlon Brando, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Burt Reynolds, Braeden’s dream is to rock the big screen with Streep – that is, if he doesn’t get too starstruck in the process.

Says Braeden: “I don’t typically get starstruck by other celebrities, but Meryl Streep would be the exception. I would be dead in my tracks.”

But Braeden’s work with Streep may not be impossible, since they dine at the same restaurant.

Braeden explains, “I was having dinner with my wife at a restaurant once, and Meryl Streep was sitting right behind me. My wife told me to turn around and talk to her but I just froze and couldn’t do it. I couldn’t think of a single thing to possibly say to her that she hadn’t already heard!”
