Bertie Higgins had a hit way back in 1981 with Key Largo, but its his new song Flags on Fire an ode to respecting the flag thats getting the highest salute from audiences.
Higgins says, Patriotism has been suffering, but surely not in front of the crowds Ive been playing to.
In fact, Higgins has received a steady stream of e-mails from fans who support his All-American spirit.
He adds, People get on their feet when I sing. It brings people to tears. Its amazing and so gratifying.
And hes getting some frenzied fans of his patriotic jam outside U.S. borders too.
Higgins song of freedom was picked up by a Canadian radio station, because, in Higgins words, They may not be from America, but they get whats in my heart.
