‘High School Musical’ Actress Rushed By Fans At Nordstrom

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – High School Musical 2 actress Olesya Rulin experienced a mad rush at the sales counter when she worked at Nordstrom, but the customers were just checking her out.

Rulin – who plays the shy, musically-gifted Kelsi Nielsen in the Disney flick – worked at Nordstrom while filming the first High School Musical, and remembers days when fans of the film would recognize her at the department store and rush her for autographs.

Says Rulin: “Little kids would run up to me during my shift and beg me for autographs and pictures. It was so cute!”

While any other boss would get annoyed with a kiddie traffic jam in their store, Rulin says her Nordstrom manager didn’t mind her fans crowding the register.

Rulin says, “I always apologized for the craziness but my boss didn’t care – she was just happy to see so many customers!”

And although Rulin drew a huge crowd into the store, she still didn’t get any complimentary clothes from her retail gig.

She adds, “I should’ve asked, though!”

High School Musical 2 debuts August 17.
