‘Welcome Back, Kotter’ Actor Watches His Work For The First Time

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The classic 70’s sitcom, Welcome Back, Kotter has been airing in syndication for decades, but cast member Ron Palillo is just now watching the episodes he filmed more than 30 years ago.

The first season of Welcome Back, Kotter is being released on DVD tomorrow (June 12), and Palillo is extremely excited to finally screen the show in which he and co-star John Travolta got their big breaks.

Palillo didn’t get the chance to watch many episodes of the show in the 70’s, but he’s excited about taking a “stroll down memory lane.”

Says Palillo: “Watching the show is going to be like looking at an old yearbook. Kotter was my version of high school. I really bonded with the whole cast and we certainly shared some hilarious times together!”

And while Palillo is thrilled to look back at the Kotter memories, he won’t be channeling his goofy, light-hearted character, Arnold Horshack, again any time soon.

He adds, “My voice was two octaves higher when I played Arnold and it’s taken me a long time to break his mold. I love the character, but, man, I’d hate to have dinner with the guy!”
