Rick James Shows The Funk To A New Generation

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – “Super Freak” Rick James may be long gone, but his funk just keeps on coming.

That’s because even in his death, James has released an album titled Deeper Still along with a revealing book called Memoirs Of A Super Freak, that will introduce James to a new, young generation of fans who may know him only from the comedic Rick James sketches on The Chappelle’s Show.

But according to James’ long-time pal and business manager Ron Kramer, there’s more to the king of funk than sexcapades, cocaine binges, and that signature catchphrase, “I’m Rick James, B■tch!”

Says Kramer, “Kids today know Rick as the guy from the Chappelle’s Show but with his new CD and book, they’ll get to know the real man behind Rick.”

And while there’s no denying that James was “definitely a Super Freak” throughout his life, Kramer believes fans will soon discover James’ “sweet side.”

He adds, “Rick made these songs to show people his softer side and make good music again. Rick always loved the spotlight.”
