Tesla Mines Music’s Past For New Album

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One hard-rocking 80’s band is tuning up for the future by looking into the past.

Telsa, the blue-collar rockers behind hits like “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Signs,” are releasing an album today (June 5) titled Real to Reel, which includes classic covers like “Bellbottom Blues” and “I’ve Got a Feeling.”

Singer Jeff Keith is shouting his praises of the cherished songs he grew up with, especially his band’s take on tunes like The Temptations’ “Ball of Confusion” and Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You.”

Keith explains, “These are the timeless, soulful songs we grew up on. We tried to put the Tesla touch on them and not butcher them up too much!’

To achieve that true 70’s vibe, the album was recorded onto analog tape, a process the band embraced, even with its old- fashioned difficulties.

Says Keith, “There ain’t no cut and paste here! There are no computers. It was the real deal. We couldn’t do a 70’s style album any other way.”
